Sign-In: At the sign-in Registration Desk at the Start Line, you will be given a bib number to wear during the race and will receive a laminated copy of the race course map and Race Rules. Remember to sign in at least 30 minutes before your Race Start Time. The first race will start at 9:00 am. Event Start Time Schedule here.
Food & Camping: Hot breakfast, coffee, snacks available adjacent to the Start Line at the new Powell River Pavilion at Well Being Retreat Center. Camping along the river in the mowed pasture adjacent to the Start Line is also available at $20 er tent per night. Bathrooms with hot showers provided. Bring your own tent or RV. (No hookups for RV.) Free live Mountain Music Friday evening at 8pm at the Powell River Pavilion by Liza Jane Alexander and Curly Cottrell
What to Bring: Here’s a list of required and recommended things to bring.
Awards: If you win your category or place second in your category, you will be told when you take-out – just past the finish line – and you will be awarded a certificate and a cash prize: $150 for 1st; $50 for 2nd place in each category (except the Recreational” category). Also, all first place winners will receive a $25 gift certificate to Uncle Lem’s Mountain Outfitters in Knoxville.
Shuttle Service: There will be volunteers with trucks and kayak trailers to offer a free shuttle service back to the Start Line for boats, equipment and paddlers. There will be at least 6 vehicles making round trips to provide this service.
